Free online course for Bedroom Producers
Soundfly just launched a great new course taught by Ethan Hein.
“Music theory doesn’t have to be a bad word. We’re starting with the one scale to rule them all”

If you don’t have a midi keyboard, the course implements a really neat aQWERTYon keyboard developed by NYU’s MusedLab. It makes jamming along to the course super easy. Also fun in this course is getting to learn Music Theory while playing along with godfathers like Stevie Wonder and James Brown.

Quick reminder that next Thursday we’ll be gathering at The Gibson New York Showroom for our October meetup.
¶
The theme for the evening is “Marching To Your Own Beat.” Whether it’s an EDM beat created in Looplabs, or a drum beat created using Sunhou.se Sensory Percussion, Marching To Your Own Beat is about being creative and pushing boundaries. It’s about initiative, and NewMusicUSA is going to share with us how they’re empowering the whole music community to take that next step.
